There's more to the Maldives than sun, sand and sea - there's Medhufushi. A brand new resort in an unspoilt atoll, first class comfort in complete harmony with its exclusive tropical surroundings. The new fully reconstructed resort due to open by January 15, 2007 is located in the unspoilt Meemu Atoll some 40 Minutes by sea plane south of malé airport. The island is 890m in length and 105m in width and the distance between the airport to the island is 128.7 kilometers. On Medhufushi we make living an art and offer accommodation in different facets, all of a very high standard and in traditional Maldivian design.

Beach Villa
Beach Villas have king size or twin beds, sofa, hairdryer, satellite tv, direct dail telephone and a timber deck and part open air bathroom with W.C bathtub and outdoor showers.

Beach Villa Suite
Beach Villa Suites have mini bar hairdryer, satellite tv , direct dial , 02 bed rooms, one with king size and one with twin bed, a suiting area, a Maldivian swing, a poach and part open air bathroom with a bathtub and open air showers.

Water Villa
Water Villas are built on stilts over the crystal clear water of the lagoon. They are detached and have mini bar, hairdryer, satellite tv direct telephone private wooden deck area with chairs and a Maldivian Swing.

Honeymoon Water Villa
Honeymoon Water Villas are built on stilts over the crystal clear water of the lagoon. Each has king size bed, bathroom with jacuzzi w.c wooden deck area with chairs. These two villas are built in the water with no jetty. A smalll boat (dingy) will be at the clients deposit at all times.

There are two restaurants on the island, the main restaurant and the brasserie and there is one main bar.

Restaurants: The main restaurant is located in an attractive thatched, open-sided building with a sand floor and teak furniture. A wonderful variety of international dishes are served as a buffet for both lunch and dinner. The food is really very good and certainly some of the best we have had in the Maldives. In addition, there is an air-conditioned brasserie, which serves a la carte dishes and Maldivian specialities.

Bars: The main bar is built on stilts over the water and has a wonderful view across the ocean. There are several satellite seating areas built off a main jetty and providing comfortable seating. The bar offers an extensive variety of cocktails and light snacks.

The Barakuda Dive School
This spaciously built diving centre was designed by professionals. Werner and Lily Lau who own the Dive Base have tremendous knowledge of the Maldives having operated here for many years. The Dive School is superbly equipped with a range of modern and well maintained equipment.

Water Sports
Canoeing, catamaran sailing and windsurfing is available from the watersports centre. The Barakuda Dive Centre provides diving.
